On June 3, 2019, the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) organized a fourth public seminar on “Up to date on Nuclear Law – Safe Living in Thailand 4.0” at Kantary Hotel Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima province. Ms. Vilaivan Tanjoy, Secretary General of OAP said at the opening ceremony that the seminar aiming to increase public understanding on principle of the Nuclear Energy for Peace Act, B.E 2559 (2016) and the Nuclear Energy for Peace Act (No.2), B.E 2562 (2019) which soon-to-be-effective on September 1, 2019. Generating a great interest from the public, the seminar targeted nuclear and radiation entrepreneurs, radiation safety officers, operators, medical personnel and representatives from governmental and private sectors from north-eastern Thailand and drew more than 100 participants. However, this is the 4th seminar from 5 seminars planning all over Thailand. By the way, the 5th seminar will be conducted in Surat Thani province on June 24, 2019. The OAP will keep continuing to acknowledge more about the acts and the amendment to relevant stakeholders and interested parties all around Thailand.
