SG kicks off the Information Meeting and SARIS Workshop which officially marks the beginning of IRRS (the Integrated Regulatory Review Service) Mission set to take place in February 2025. Preceding the IRRS Mission, the Information Meeting is aimed to create a better understanding of the IRRS Mission itself and to discuss on the scope of the mission. The meeting is also an excellent opportunity for participants to get themselves familiar with the Self-Assessment of Regulatory Infrastructure for Safety (SARIS) which is an integral part of the IRRS mission. In a nutshell, IRRS Mission utilizes a peer review to come up with suggestions to help a member state improve its nuclear and radiation regulatory according to IAEA safety standards.
