Thailand begins preparation for INSServ Mission

      OAP is determined to strengthen the national nuclear security regime through The International Nuclear Security Advisory Service (INSServ) provided by IAEA to its member states.  OAP hosts the Preparatory Meeting which is a prerequisite for the INSServ Mission.

The Preparatory Meeting welcomes respresentatives from six organizations or institutes who have critical roles with respect to national nuclear security. They are the National Security Council, the Customs Department, the Royal Thai Police Department, Port Authority of Thailand and Office of Laem Chabang Port which is the largest seaport in Thailand. The participants are provided with a tremendous opportunity to understand the INSServ process and to discuss with the IAEA officers on a scope of INSServ Mission which is expected to take place later this year.
