Dr. Rungrueng Kitphati, Secretary General of the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), participated in the panel discussion “BIG ISSUE: PDP 2026 ENERGY GREEN POWER: Transforming Thailand’s Energy Landscape toward a Green Production Hub,” organized by Thansettakij and PostToday newspapers.
The discussion provided an opportunity to exchange views on Thailand’s energy direction and present OAP’s approach to strengthening nuclear safety regulatory preparedness in support of the country’s energy and technological transition, including the future deployment of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology, amid the transformation of Thailand’s energy structure under the draft Power Development Plan (PDP) 2026.
