OAP Strengthens Personnel Readiness for the 2026 Public Facilitation Act to Enhance Public Services

   The Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), is preparing for the implementation of the Act on Facilitation of Permit Consideration and Public Services B.E. 2569 (2026) by improving its work processes and enhancing service delivery to make services more convenient, prompt, and transparent, while reducing the burden on the public and business operators. The Act is scheduled to take full effect on 4 January 2027. On 10 September 2026, Dr. Rungrueng Kitphati, Secretary General of OAP, assigned Acting Sub Lt. Surat Hongchan, Director of Administration Development Group, to preside over the opening of a briefing session on implementation guidelines under the Act on Facilitation of Permit Consideration and Public Services B.E. 2569 (2026). The session aimed to build knowledge and understanding of the new legislation and prepare OAP personnel to perform their duties in compliance with the new legal requirements. More than 50 OAP executives, and staff attended the session, held at the Main Conference Room. Mr. Panatphorn Jongtheerachot, Senior Expert Legal Officer, Office of the Council of State, was invited as the guest speaker.
