2 October 2026 – Dr. Rungreung Kitphati, Secretary-General of the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop on “OAP Data Governance Implementation for 2026” at the Alpha Conference Room, 4th Floor, 60th Anniversary Building.
The workshop aims to strengthen knowledge and understanding of data governance among executives, personnel, data stewards, and data stakeholders, while advancing OAP’s data management practices toward a systematic, standardized, and efficient approach that maximizes the value and effective use of data.
Dr. Rungreung emphasized that “Data is a vital organizational resource, particularly for OAP, which is responsible for regulating nuclear and radiation safety in Thailand. Accurate, complete, up-to-date, and secure data supports effective policy decisions, regulatory oversight, and public services. Therefore, data governance is not merely a matter of systems or technology; it requires the participation of every staff member and must be integrated into our daily work.”
