On July 21, 2026, The Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), organized a seminar on “Guidelines for Developing Provincial Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Response Plans” on 21–22 July 2026 at the Maneechan Resort in Chanthaburi Province. The seminar aimed to strengthen interagency coordination across Thailand’s Eastern Region and jointly develop practical provincial nuclear and radiological emergency response plans that can be effectively implemented in the event of an emergency. More than 25 participants attended the meeting, including representatives from Provincial Offices of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation’s Regional Centers 3 (Prachin Buri) and 17 (Chanthaburi), as well as other relevant agencies from the Eastern Region.
