Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), is advancing policies to strengthen Thailand’s national competitiveness through science, technology, and innovation, with a particular focus on Frontier Innovation and Green Energy Innovation. These efforts aim to prepare the Thai people to adapt to rapid technological advances and changes in the global economy.
As part of this policy direction, he assigned the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP) to showcase knowledge and technologies in nuclear science and radiation, particularly Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology, at the National Science and Technology Fair 2026.
