The Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), in collaboration with the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD), Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, and the Hydrographic Department, Ministry of Defence, organized a training program on the use of seismic wave analysis software to support Thailand’s operations under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). The training was held from 17–19 August 2026 at the Chiang Mai Seismic Monitoring Station. The opening ceremony was jointly presided over by Mr. Nattawut Daendee, Deputy Director-General of the Thai Meteorological Department, and Rear Admiral Thewan Sukkasem, Deputy Director-General of the Hydrographic Department. A total of 26 participants from relevant agencies attended the training, including the Hydrographic Department, Northern Meteorological Center, Chiang Mai University, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna, and the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP).
