On July 10, 2026, Ms. Tanawan Chamsuwan, Expert on Administration Development and Director of the Eastern Regional Office, together with Dr. Piyawan Srikongpan, Radiation Physicist Professional-Level, Nuclear and Radiation Database Management Group, Nuclear and Radiation Licensing Division, and the delegation, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Traiphop Wongtaitrat, Governor of Rayong Province, to introduce the mission and responsibilities of the Office of Atoms for peace (Eastern Regional office). Moreover, OAP presented its regulatory approaches to nuclear and radiation safety, including measures for nuclear and radiological emergency preparedness and response, as well as strategies to strengthen integrated cooperation with relevant local agencies. The discussions also focused on enhancing surveillance capabilities and improving public protection through effective coordination and regulatory oversight.
