From Theory to Practice: Radiological Technology Students Take a Tour of OAP laboratories

On February 3, 2025, OAP welcomed a group of lecturers and students from the Radiologic Technology Program at the Chulabhorn Royal Academy’s College of Medical Sciences. The group visited the nuclear and radiation laboratories to gain insight into modern atomic energy and radiation technology.

The event aimed to provide students with an understanding of the safe use of atomic energy for medical, industrial, and research purposes, as well as raising awareness about radiation safety standards. Experts from OAP shared their knowledge and guided the students through radiation equipment, offering fascinating demonstrations at the National Nuclear and Radiation Emergency Response Center (NuREAC), the Primary Radiation Measurement Standard Laboratory for Gamma Radiation Protection (PSDL&SSDL), and the Primary Radiation Measurement Standard Laboratory for Low-Energy X-rays.

This educational tour broadened the students’ perspectives, deepened their knowledge, and inspired them to contribute to the development of atomic technology for the benefit of the country in the future.
