The management of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel requires cooperation from all relevant sectors. OAP places great importance on reviewing and improving national policies comprehensively to establish a robust and comprehensive safety standard that enhances public and environmental confidence. With technical support from ANSN, the expert mission aims to review and provide feedback on the draft National Policy for Radioactive Waste and Spent Nuclear Fuel Management as part of this training workshop. The primary objective is to facilitate technical discussions with ANSN experts to refine and enhance the policy draft.

The outcomes of this meeting will be used to further refine the draft policy before it is submitted to the Working Group on the Development of Radioactive Waste and NORM Regulatory Framework for consideration. The goal is to push the policy forward for official adoption, thereby elevating the highest safety standards for the protection of the public and the environment in Thailand.
