OAP Enhances Personal Data Protection! Strengthening PDPA Safeguards

OAP is organizing a workshop on compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) on February 24–25, 2025. The objective is to equip government officials and staff with knowledge and understanding of this crucial law, which establishes guidelines for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data in accordance with appropriate principles. This training aims to mitigate the risks associated with data breaches and to ensure proper compliance with legal requirements.

Under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), all agencies are required to handle personal data with due diligence to minimize the risk of violating data subjects’ rights. Therefore, OAP has organized this workshop to provide personnel with a clear understanding of the law’s principles and key provisions, enabling them to apply them correctly and implement effective preventive measures.

Additionally, the training emphasizes the role of the state in protecting personal data and raises awareness among participants about the personal data collected, used, and disclosed by their respective agencies. Attendees will also learn to accurately define the purpose of data collection. Furthermore, they will be trained on how to prepare and present a detailed notice to data subjects when collecting, using, and disclosing personal data, ensuring full compliance with legal requirements.
