The Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), in collaboration with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), organized an online seminar titled “Webinar on the First Week of a Nuclear Forensic Examination” on February 26, 2025. The event aimed to enhance knowledge in nuclear forensics, attracting over 300 participants from various countries. This reflects the growing global significance of nuclear forensics, particularly in advancing OAP’s role as a regional hub for nuclear forensic expertise.
During the seminar, OAP presented key insights into nuclear identity verification processes within one week to support investigations. The session included lectures and video demonstrations, offering attendees an opportunity to engage in real-time discussions through the Slido platform, allowing them to ask questions and exchange views. To accommodate participants from different time zones, the webinar was held in two sessions: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM.
