The Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), under Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, organized a seminar titled “Guidelines for Developing Provincial Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Plans” on June 30 – July 1, 2025, in Surat Thani. The event, held in collaboration with Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Centers in Surat Thani and Phuket, aimed to enhance the knowledge and preparedness of regional disaster response personnel.
About 30 participants attended the seminar, which focused on equipping them with the skills to effectively develop and implement emergency response plans for nuclear and radiological incidents.
