The Office of Atoms for Peace hosted the 4th strategic workshop on “Strategic Project Management & AI” on April 29–30, 2026, in Bangkok. The program focused on strengthening organizational capacity by integrating artificial intelligence and professional project management to improve efficiency, accuracy, and readiness for Thailand’s operational plan (2028–2032).

The workshop outlined nine key nuclear-related initiatives to advance the country:
- Developing legal frameworks and systems to support Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology as a future clean energy source
- Enhancing oversight of advanced medical radiation to position Thailand as an international medical hub
- Promoting Thailand’s role as a global leader in nuclear and radiation fields
- Driving digital transformation through AI integration
- Strengthening preparedness and response to nuclear and radiological emergencies
- Upgrading nuclear and radiation reference laboratories to meet top international standards
- Ensuring strict safety regulations to protect the public, workers, and the environment
- Increasing public awareness and understanding of nuclear technology
- Promoting transparency and good governance within the organization
This initiative reflects a shift toward a modern “nuclear + AI” approach, supporting Thailand’s development in clean energy, advanced healthcare, and global technological leadership.
