Officials noted that recent disasters in Thailand, such as earthquakes, sinkholes, and severe flooding, have demonstrated the need for integrated efforts in policy, research, technology, and field operations.
The newly developed warning and monitoring technologies were described as practical innovations that meet international standards and can support public safety and risk management. Representatives from the Office of Atoms for Peace also emphasized the importance of integrating scientific knowledge, research, and innovation into emergency preparedness systems, including linking disaster-monitoring networks and supporting the use of safety technologies to enhance public confidence and long-term resilience.
