On May 8, 2026, the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), partnered with Rayong Province, the Rayong Provincial Administrative Organization, and relevant agencies to participate in the Incident Command System (ICS) Development Program and the 2026 Chemical, Hazardous Materials, and Explosives Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Exercise. The exercise covered strategic areas across both industrial and community sectors in Rayong Province. A realistic radiological accident scenario was simulated to test and enhance the preparedness, coordination, and emergency response capabilities of participating agencies. The exercise was designed to strengthen integrated emergency management and improve readiness to respond effectively to emergencies in all dimensions.
