OAP Hosts CTBTO Executive Secretary at RN65 Radionuclide Monitoring Station, Reinforcing Thailand’s Role in the International Monitoring System (IMS)

On July 18, 2026, Dr. Rutjapan Kateklum, Director of Regulatory Technical Support Division, Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), and Dr. Yutthana Tumnoi, Expert on Atomic Energy, accompanied Dr. Robert Floyd, Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), and his delegation on a visit to RN65 Radionuclide Station in Nakhon Pathom Province. The visit provided an opportunity to observe the station’s operations in monitoring airborne radioactive particulates, as part of the International Monitoring System (IMS) established under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). The visit also served as a platform for exchanging technical knowledge and further strengthening academic and technical cooperation between Thailand and the CTBTO.
