On June 17, 2025, the Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, co-hosted a training program titled “Awareness of Terrorism and Transnational Crime from Chemical, Nuclear, and Radiological Threats”. The event, organized by the National Intelligence Coordination Center, was held at Vieng Tak Riverside Hotel in Tak Province.
The training aimed to enhance understanding of threats related to terrorism and transnational crimes involving chemical, radiological, and nuclear materials, and to foster effective intelligence cooperation for national security.
OAP contributed expert lecturers to deliver a session on “Basic Knowledge on Nuclear and Radiation, and Initial Emergency Response Measures” to 35 frontline personnel and government officials from Tak Province.
OAP reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with national security agencies to support efforts in countering emerging threats and promoting safe and peaceful use of nuclear energy.
