The Office of Atoms for Peace (OAP), in collaboration with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) Regional Centers 10 (Lampang) and 15 (Chiang Rai), organized a seminar titled “Guidelines for Developing Provincial Nuclear and Radiological Emergency Response Plans” on 18–19 June 2025 at Tree Tara Hotel in Lampang. The event was attended by 30 participants.
The seminar aimed to support the practical implementation of nuclear and radiological emergency plans at the provincial level. It provided knowledge and enhanced understanding among DDPM officers and related agencies on preparing coordinated response plans, which are essential for managing radiological emergencies effectively.
The initiative involved coordination with DDPM Regional Centers 6 (Khon Kaen), 10 (Lampang), 11 (Surat Thani), 14 (Udon Thani), 15 (Chiang Rai), and 18 (Phuket). The seminar served as a platform for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement in crisis management, and strengthening the readiness and capability of local agencies to respond to nuclear and radiological incidents in line with national safety standards.
